The Turkish Shimmy (or Forward-and-Back Shimmy) allows for many variations that can enrich your performance: the 1/2 turn, the 1/4 turn, and the TSWAAT (or FABSWAAT).

In this workshop, we will work our way up from the Turkish Shimmy. We will take a look at how to start a Turkish Shimmy 1/4 Turn, and how to build up the combination, even more by taking it into a fade in a Trio or Quartet.

Follow this class to enter my schematic world of musicality to make this combination fit perfectly with your favourite music!

We recommend this warmup, especially designed for the Forward and Back (Turkish) Shimmy: Warm Up for Turkish Shimmy

Shout-out to Devi Mamak and the Caravan Band for allowing me to use their music for my workshop. You can purchase their album HERE
